COLTS NECK, NJ — Back-to-school planning is well underway in Colts Neck, with the school calendar available for parents and students to plan for the return to the 2022-2023 school year.
The first day of school is Tuesday, Sept. 6.
The district, which serves approximately 955 students, operates three schools: Conover Road Primary School (pre-school to second grade); Conover Road Elementary School (grades 3 to 5); and Cedar Drive Middle School (grades 6 to 8). Colts Neck High School is part of the Freehold Regional High School District.

Here are some important dates for the new school year:
- First day of school: Sept. 6
- Thanksgiving recess: Nov. 24-25, with a short session Nov. 23
- Winter recess: Dec. 23-30, with a short session Dec. 22; schools reopen Jan. 3, 2023
- Spring recess: April 7-14, 2023, with a short session April 6, 2023
- Last day of school: June 22, 2023
