MARLBORO, NJ — Back-to-school planning is well underway in Marlboro, with the school calendar available for parents and students begin preparing for the 2022-2023 school year.
Students return Sept. 6 for the first day of school.
Marlboro is a pre-K to eighth-grade district with approximately 4,543 students attending eight schools. Marlboro High School is part of the Freehold Regional High School District.

Here are some important dates for the upcoming school year:
- First day of school: Sept. 6
- Thanksgiving recess: Nov. 24-25, with a one-session day Nov. 23
- Winter recess: Dec. 26-30, with a one-session day Dec. 23 and a return to school Jan. 3,2023
- Spring recess: April 6-14, with a one-session day April 5
- Eighth-grade graduation: June 16, 2023
- Last day of school: June 21, with one-session days June 19-21, 2023
