Blood Drive To Honor Marlboro Community Member With Terminal Cancer
The blood drive will take place at Calvary Chapel in Old Bridge.
MARLBORO, NJ — New Jersey Blood Services is hosting a blood drive on Saturday, April 23 in celebration of Chris Dean, a terminal pancreatic cancer patient and member of the Marlboro community.
The blood drive will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Calvary Chapel in Old Bridge, which the Dean family has attended for the past 25 years.
Dean was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in early 2020 and has required multiple visits to the emergency room and critical care units as well as blood transfusions throughout his treatment.

Dean and his family say they are grateful for his access to lifesaving blood supplies and want to pay it forward by ensuring that there are adequate resources available for those who may need it in the future.
“From coaching sports to his church membership, Chris is an active, valued and well-known member of his community,” said New Jersey Blood Services.
