Check Out Bar Method Marlboro
Hurry! Bar Method Marlboro, at 712 Ginesi Drive in Morganville, is offering your first class free through January 31.

MARLBORO, NJ - Bar Method Marlboro, which opened its doors in November and is located at 712 Ginesi Drive in Morganville, is anything but your typical fitness studio.
Bar Method classes use isometric (static) exercises to strengthen and tone all major muscle groups, followed by periods of stretching to elongate, lengthen and align the body.
There are 100 Bar studios across the country, and the Marlboro location is located right off Rt. 520, between Tennent Road and Rt. 9 — in the same building as Young Chefs and CODA Dance Studio. It's also near the Retro Fitness Marlboro and Monmouth Gymnastics Academy. While the exercise is rooted in ballet and ballet barre is used for some portions of the class, Bar Method is definitely not a dance class. The classes begin with a warm up, then dive right into arms, followed by thigh-burning, glute-lifting exercises, then into a core series and ends with final stretches.

While barre-based exercises appeal mostly to women, it’s not just for women. Men also benefit from the strength toning and stretching at The Bar Method, particularly those with any sports-related injuries. In fact, some male clients find that taking classes has boosted their stamina and flexibility for other sports, such as hockey and golf, say owners Nicole Baldino and Michele Corsentino, who also both teach at the studio.
The Bar Method Marlboro is offering a first complimentary class through January 31 and a new client special: One month unlimited classes for $99 — meaning you can hit the barre everyday to see your body transform and kickstart bikini season!

“The Bar Method was the only workout that not only changed my body, but improved my posture, increased my flexibility and gave me a renewed sense of confidence,” said Baldino. "There’s no better time than January to kick into fitness routines that can lead to a newfound sense of strength, poise and a lasting lifestyle.”
Classes are offered every day of the week, early morning, mid-morning, afternoon and evening. The 4,200-square foot space has 2 studio rooms for classes and also offers a childcare room, called the MiniBar, that offers babysitting services during weekday mornings. There are also locker rooms with showers and a coffee bar. The studio also offers a retail area with brands such as Bar Method, Shashi, Alo Yoga, Onzie, Kobo and Beyond Yoga.
