Colts Neck Teen, 16, Seriously Injured In Rt. 520 Bike Accident
A 16-year-old teen riding a bike was seriously injured Saturday after he was hit by a car at Rt. 520 and Conover Road in Marlboro Twp.

MARLBORO, NJ — A 16-year-old teen riding a bike was seriously injured over the weekend after he was hit by a car at the intersection of Rt. 520 and Conover Road in Marlboro Township.
Marlboro police say the accident occurred at 11:17 a.m. Saturday, May 18: A silver 2016 Honda CRV driven by a 68-year-old man from Middletown was traveling east on County Route 520 when the bicyclist hit the side of the SUV in the intersection.
The juvenile bicyclist, a 16-year-old young man from Colts Neck, was transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center with serious injuries. He had to be taken there by helicopter.

Rt. 520 was closed to traffic between Rt. 79 and Rt. 34 until 1:30 Saturday afternoon.
The identity of the driver and juvenile bicyclist are being withheld at this time pending notifications. The juvenile bicyclist was the only reported injury.
