Cyclist Hit By Car Tuesday Morning In Marlboro Twp.

A cyclist was hit by a car at 7:30 Tuesday morning at the intersection of Wyncrest Road and School Road West in Marlboro Twp.

MARLBORO, NJ — An adult cyclist was hit by a car Tuesday morning at the intersection of Wyncrest Road and School Road West in Marlboro Twp., police there confirmed.

The accident happened just past 7:30 a.m. today: A 2017 Silver Lexus hit the bicyclist and the bicyclist was taken by Marlboro First Aid to Bayshore Medical Center in Holmdel with non-life threatening injuries.

"The accident sounded worse than it was," said Marlboro police Capt. Fred Reck. "At this time the injuries are non-life threatening in nature."

It is not yet known the age or gender of the cyclist, or whether he or she was a Marlboro Twp. resident.

Wyncrest Road was closed to traffic in one direction for approximately 20 minutes during the accident investigation.
