Dorothy Matthews, 93, Dies
Dorothy Matthews was raised in Colts Neck and lived in Freehold.

Dorothy Matthews, 93, died Friday, Jan. 20 at home. Born in West Freehold, she was raised in Colts Neck and has resided in Freehold most of her life. She was formerly employed at the First National Bank of Freehold and was a life long active member of the Dutch Reformed Church of Freehold.
Dorothy was predeceased by her loving husband, James W. in 2003 and her granddaughter, Coby in 2011. She is survived by her three sons, Stanley, Harold, and Eugene; her daughter Beverly Aceves; 11 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; two brothers, Garret of New Jersey and William Thompson of Virginia; two sisters, Jeannette Niehaus of Maryland and Elizabeth Possehl of New Mexico.
Calling hours will be Monday, Jan. 23 from 3 to 7 p.m., at the , 47 East Main Street, Freehold. Her funeral Service will be Tuesday 9:30 a.m. at the Dutch Reformed Church, 67 West Main Street, Freehold. Burial will follow at .
In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to Dutch Reformed Church.
