Power Outage From Downed Tree In Marlboro Affected 540 JCP&L Customers

At about 8 a.m. Tuesday, police reported that Boundary Road was partially closed from the downed tree that also pulled down power lines.

MARLBORO, NJ — Power was interrupted to about 540 JCP&L customers on Tuesday morning after a downed tree damaged power lines on Boundary Road between Route 520 and Clover Hill Road in Colts Neck, the utility company said.

Most residents affected were in Colts Neck, with 470 customers affected, said Chris Hoenig, JCP&L spokesman.

As of 10:30 a.m. Tuesday final repairs were being made and the outage was down to 60 customers, Hoenig said.

Police had closed Boundary Road early from Route 520 to Clover Hill Road until repairs could be made and the area cleared.
