After installation, Mary Burke, President of Sotheby's Heritage House Realtors we be discussing with us, her story to building her empire. Through much hard work and dedication, Mary Burke, President and Broker of Record, has grown her independently owned firm into one of Monmouth County’s top producing real estate brokerages. Burke started her real estate career in 1985 and in only five short years, she served as salesperson, manager and eventual owner of her own company.
Heritage House Realtors opened their doors in Middletown in 1990 and thrived under Burke’s hands-on approach to ownership. She followed up with additional sales locations in Shrewsbury, Rumson and Holmdel, as well as a Corporate Headquarters in Shrewsbury, all while maintaining the highest set of standards for the professionals operating with the Heritage House name. In 2005, Burke was chosen by Sotheby’s International Realty® and given the opportunity to affiliate with their world renowned organization, which she did, thus changing her firm’s name to Heritage House Sotheby's International Realty. Today, that firm includes over 200 of the finest sales associates, a top-notch management and support team, full-service relocation department and its own separate referral company.
Originally from County Cork, Ireland, Mary Burke moved to the United States to live and work in New York City, then relocated to Middletown, New Jersey, where she has lived for over 30 years. An enthusiastic member of the community, Burke believes in giving back to the people of Monmouth County. She has supported numerous local organizations and schools including the K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital, Middletown Public Library, 180 Turning Lives Around, YMCA (Red Bank), Pacific Opera Company, Parker Family Health Center, as well as national causes such as American Cancer Society and also the Helen Graham Cancer Center in Delaware.
