The practice begins with participants lying down and resting, then some gentle stretching, followed by chanting Om and some breathing exercises. This helps to achieve a balanced state suitable for receiving the benefits of the guided meditation.
The meditation is introduced by using language that guides participants into a deeply relaxed state, a positive message in then repeated to guide participants to listen for the answers they seek. When the meditation is over, participants may do some journaling or drawing, and jot down what you're thinking or feeling to help process the experience.
In Yoga Nidra, you will make a positive resolve, such as “I have perfect health” or “I am successful in all my endeavors” and root it deep in your subconscious mind so that you begin to manifest your reality from this positive belief.
