Fire Breaks Out At Marlboro Twp. Home Monday

MARLBORO, NJ — A fire broke out at a home on Morris Court in Marlboro Township Monday morning, according to Marlboro police. The fire rose to second-alarm status, but nobody was injured in the blaze.

At 9:31 a.m. on Monday, Marlboro police received a 911 call from the homeowner on Morris Court, located in the Morganville section. The homeowner reported that smoke and flames were coming from the home's basement.

The homeowner was able to get out of the home safely, and when police and volunteer fire crews got there, the home was ablaze.

The fire rose to second-alarm status and was brought under control at approximately 11:15 a.m. The cause remains under investigation. It is not considered suspicious at this time.

The Robertsville Fire Department, Morganville Volunteer Fire Department, Marlboro Fire Department, South Old Bridge Fire Department, Gordons Corner Road Fire Department and Monroe Fire Department all responded.
