Frank Pallone, Rich Pezzullo Debate Sunday At Marlboro Synagogue
Meet both candidates for Congress this Sunday, Oct. 21 from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. at Temple Rodeph Torah, 15 Mohawk Drive in Marlboro.

MARLBORO, NJ — If you are interested in who is running to represent Marlboro Township in Congress, the League of Women Voters is holding a candidates' forum at the Marlboro synagogue this Sunday.
Both candidates seeking to represent New Jersey's sixth congressional district will be there: Rep. Frank Pallone, the Democrat who has long represented the area, and Rich Pezzullo, the conservative Republican hoping to unseat him.
Both Rep. Pallone and Pezzullo confirmed they will be there. This is quite an unusual event, as it marks the rare time both the Democrat and Republican candidates will be in the same room together, talking about the issues and fielding questions from the public. Pallone has represented New Jersey's sixth district for years, which stretches from the Woodbridge area into New Brunswick and Aberdeen Twp. and down into Marlboro. It also hugs the northern New Jersey coast and includes the towns of Long Branch and Asbury Park. It's a reliably blue district, having voted Democratic for years. Pezzullo meanwhile is a Republican who supports President Trump.

Pallone is one of Trump's loudest critics on the left, while Pezzullo told Patch he would vote for Trump again if the presidential election was tomorrow. Earlier this summer, we asked both candidates an identical set of questions for their thoughts on issues such as immigration, a border wall with Mexico and the economy. Here is that Q&A: Q&A With Congress Candidates Frank Pallone And Rich Pezzullo
The event will go from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. at Temple Rodeph Torah, 15 Mohawk Drive in Marlboro, NJ. All are welcome and it is the ideal chance to meet the candidates and hear a discussion on the issues. The forum was organized by Sharon Steinhorn, president of the League of Women Voters of Western Monmouth County, and will be moderated by Marlene Sincaglia, who lives in a different voting district.
