Hit and Run Near Marlboro Township
Someone was hit by a car on Rt. 9 north near Gordons Corner Road late Tuesday night, and the driver reportedly fled the scene.
Manalapan, NJ - A pedestrian was struck by a car late Tuesday night on Rt. 9 at Gordons Corner Road in Manalapan, according to police radio reports. The driver also fled the crash scene, according to police radio transmissions, but that has not been confirmed yet by Manalapan police. Rescue workers started CPR on the victim as soon as they arrived, according to reports.
The crash happened just before midnight while the person was walking on the northbound side of Route 9, reports the Asbury Park Press. Rt. 9 was shut down for several hours because of it.
