- Sept. 8 First Day of school
- Sept. 14-15 Rosh Hashanah - schools closed
- Sept. 23 Yom Kippur - schools closed
- Oct. 12 - Columbus Day - schools closed for students
- Nov. 5, 6 – NJEA Teachers Convention - schools closed
- Nov. 19, 20, 23 - short session days, afternoon parent-teacher conferences
- Nov. 24 - evening parent-teacher conferences
- Nov. 25 - short session day
- Nov. 26 - 27 – Thanksgiving Recess, schools closed
- Dec. 23 - short session day
- Dec. 24 – Dec. 31 – Winter break, schools closed
- Jan. 1 - New Years Day - schools closed
- Jan. 18 – Martin Luther King, Jr. Day - schools closed
- Jan. 27 - Professional Development - schools closed
- Feb. 11- Short Session Day for Students/Staff Inservice (Half-Day)
- Feb. 12 - 15 Presidents’ Weekend - schools closed
- Feb. 24 Short Session Day – Parent/Teacher Conferences (Afternoon
- Feb. 25 Evening Parent/Teacher Conferences

There are three days built into the calendar for inclement weather and other emergencies. If the district needs to make-up more than three days:
In the event the district must make up a school day prior to Monday, January 18, 2016, the day will be made up by opening school on January 18, 2016 (Martin L. King Day).

In the event the district must make up a school day after Martin Luther King Day (January 18, 2016), the day will be made up by opening school on Friday, February 12, 2016 and, if necessary, on Monday, February 15, 2016.
In the event the district must make up emergency closing days after Presidents’ Day (February 16, 2016), additional days will be added to the end of the school year or such other days as decided by the Board of Education.
