Joseph Bulko, 72, Dies

Joseph Bulko, 72, of Marlboro, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 12, of cancer at home with his loving family.

Joseph Bulko, 72, of Marlboro, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 12, of cancer at home with his loving family.  Born in Slovakia, he lived on Staten Island from 1963 until moving to Marlboro in 2007. He was a communicant of St. Gabriel’s Roman Catholic Church, Marlboro. He was a former communicant of St. Clare’s Roman Catholic Parish, Staten Island, and a member of the Accounting Guild of the St. Clare’s Rectory. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Joe worked for J.P. Morgan Chase Bank in Manhattan for 37 years. He loved to golf and was an avid traveler. 

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; his son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Dana Bulko of Hohokus; two daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Gregg Villany of Colts Neck and Lauren and Joe Prefer of Lincroft; a sister, Justine Salon; and eight grandchildren, Katie, Adam, Jill, Erik, Corri, Brenden, Emily and Kirsten.

Family and friends are invited to visit Monday, Nov. 14, from
2 to 4 & 7 to 9 pm, at the Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan

A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday, Nov. 15, at 10 am, at St. Gabriel’s Historic Church, Marlboro. Entombment will follow at the parish mausoleum.
