Low-Flying Helicopter Patrols in Marlboro
JCPandL continues their low-flying chopper patrols inspecting power lines.

Marlboro Township, NJ - If you see low-flying helicopters around Marlboro Township in the next few days, do not be alarmed.
Starting on Jan. 4 and continuing through the whole month of January, helicopters with Jersey Central Power & Light will be conducting aerial inspections of the 230kV transmission lines in the area.
The aerial patrols are expected to take three to four weeks to complete, and will be done by a black helicopter with red lettering. The patrols will involve a slow-speed, close-up, detailed inspection of the lines and hardware. The helicopter will be flying slowly (approximately 10 mph) along the lines and will often hover and/or circle for a close inspection of the facilities, particularly at the individual structure locations.
