Man Arrested for Impersonation in Colts Neck

A Bronx man was arrested in Colts Neck for impersonation and possessing a fraudulent check.

A man was arrested in Colts Neck for impersonation and trying to negotiate a fraudulently obtained check, police said.

Ricardo Gonzalez, 46, of the Bronx, New York, was arrested on Thursday, Jan. 8, for attempting to negotiate a check which was fraudulently obtained under false pretenses and for impersonation while trying to negotiate the check, according to court documents.

Gonzalez attempted to negotiate a check worth $2,900 at a Wells Fargo Bank, located at 440 State Highway 34 in Colts Neck, in the name of Efroin Vega while using a California driver’s license in someone else’s name, court documents said.
