Marlboro Paints 'Thin Blue Line' To Show Support For Police Officers
The thin blue line painted on the road supports the township's police force

Marlboro Mayor Jonathan Hornik unveiled a thin blue line painted on the road this morning in support of the township's police force.
"The ‘Thin Blue Line’, painted on the road leading to Town Hall and the Police Department will remind every resident and visitor to the Municipal Complex that Police Officers, and all who are called first to come to our aid, are a vital part of our community,” Mayor Hornik said in a press release, “It is small way to express our thanks and appreciation for the job they do.”
"The visible sign of support each time they come to work will mean a lot to the Officers,” Chief Bruce Hall said in the press release.

Modeled after the blue line included on American flags honoring fallen officers, Marlboro's blue line is painted between the double yellow line in the middle of the street, and will remain on the road indefinitely.
In addition to the presentation of the Life Saving Awards, a roadside sign dedicating the Thin Blue Line will be revealed at the Oct. 6 Township Council meeting at 7:00 PM.
