Marlboro Twp. Townhouse Destroyed By Fire: Photos
A townhouse, and one next door, in the Glennbrook development in Marlboro Township were badly damaged by a fire Sunday afternoon.

MARLBORO, NJ — A townhouse in the Glennbrook development in Marlboro Township was badly damaged by a fire Sunday afternoon, police report.
The fire on Bluebird Lane was first reported to police at 4:38 p.m. Father's Day Sunday, June 17. The Glenbrook development is located off Ryan Road.
When police and volunteer firefighters got there, they found the townhouse fully engulfed in heavy smoke and fire. The occupants had all gotten out before the home became engulfed, and were not injured.

However, firefighters evacuated the connecting townhomes as a precaution. One adjoining town home was also damaged.
The cause and origin of the fire remain under investigation at this time by the Monmouth County Fire Marshal and Marlboro Township Fire Bureau.

The Marlboro Fire Department, Robertsville Fire Department, Morganville Independent Fire Department, Gordons Corner Fire Department, Matawan Fire Department, Marlboro First Aid Squad, Monmouth County Fire Marshall and the Marlboro Township Fire Bureau all responded. Ptlm. Francesco Bianco and Det. Edward Ungrady are the investigating officers.
Bluebird Lane was closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic for approximately three hours Sunday due to fire operations and clean up.
