Meet former NJ Devils Stars Grant Marshall and Bruce Driver in Marlboro

Stanley Cup winners Grant Marshall and Bruce Driver will be on hand for a meet and greet, sponsored byTrinity Financial Sports and Entertainment Management Co., LLC,  on Jan. 18, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Bella Vista Country Club in Marlboro. Marshall and Driver will  be there to take pictures and sign autographs. Family and friends are welcome to attend, this is an excellent event for children!

Both Marshall and Driver are members of the Athletes and Business Alliance, a network of accomplished individuals in an environment where one can develop personal associations with a structured and supportive system of giving and receiving business. Trinity Financial and ABA were founded by Peter Grandich, a 30-year Wall Street veteran and well-known financial commentator.

About Bruce Driver

Bruce Driver grew up in Toronto, but at 18 years old he decided to leave home to continue his education and play College Hockey at the University of Wisconsin. After winning an NCAA Championship with the Badgers in 1981 (Drafted by the Colorado Rockies) and another in 1983 he was offered a tryout with the Canadian National Team. Driver would go on to represent Canada in the 1984 Winter Olympics which immediately helped launch his NHL career. After a brief stint with the non-playoff bound New Jersey Devils that Spring he was given an opportunity to continue playing, with the Maine Mariners (the Devils AHL affiliate). Winning the Calder Cup that season was the stepping stone Driver needed to show he deserved a chance to make the big club. During his 15 seasons in the National Hockey League he played in over 1000 games from 1983–84 until 1997–98. Driver possessed a strong point shot, heady offensive instincts, smart positional defensive play, and had a good stick with which he used adeptly at poke checking. A natural leader, Driver served as Devils' captain and also became a power play quarterback as his career blossomed. He won the 1995 Stanley Cup as a member of the Devils, before moving on to play with the New York Rangers for the final three seasons of his career.

About Grant Marshall

Marshall was drafted 23rd overall by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 1992 NHL Entry Draft. Marshall has played 700 career NHL games, scoring 92 goals and 147 assists for 239 points. His name was engraved on the Stanley Cup with the Dallas Stars in 1999 as well as with the New Jersey Devils in 2003. He currently works on behalf of the Devils Alumni Association.
