Morganville Driver Hits, Snaps Utility Pole On Wyncrest Road

MARLBORO, NJ - A 25-year-old driver from Morganville collided with a utility pole on Wyncrest Road on Wednesday, resulting in a damaged pole, several power outages and the closure of the road for several hours.

On July 21 at around 3:24 p.m., the single-vehicle collision was reported on Wyncrest Road between Rt. 79 and Gordons Corner Road, in which a 2003 Nissan Frontier driven by a Morganville resident hit a utility pole which caused the pole to snap and lean over into the roadway, Capt. Steve Levy of the Marlboro Township Police Department told Patch.

The driver was not injured in the crash, Levy said.

Wyncrest Road was closed to traffic in that area following the incident and was reopened later that night.
