Morganville Gas Station Sells $150K Lottery Ticket

MORGANVILLE, NJ — A gas station on Rt. 9 in Morganville sold a $150,000-winning lottery ticket this week, the NJ state lottery announced. This was from the drawing Wednesday night, Aug. 7. $150,000 is the prize before taxes are taken out.

The winning ticket from Wednesday night’s drawing was sold at EZ Fuel, 70 Rt. 9 north in Morganville (Monmouth County). This is the gas station at the intersection of Rt. 9 and Newman Springs Road. It used to be an Exxon.

The winning numbers for the Wednesday, August 7 drawing were: 08, 32, 47, 53 and 59. The Red Power Ball number was 3. The Multiplier number was 03.

The winning ticket matched four of the five balls drawn, winning $50,000. But because that ticket was purchased with Powerplay, it multiplied the prize to $150,000. A winner has not yet been publicly identified.

The Powerball jackpot rolls to $128 million for the next drawing, which will be held Saturday, August 10 at 10:59 p.m.
