Morganville Woman Hit, Killed By Car While Out Walking

The 52-year-old woman died after she was hit by a car Sunday evening while walking in the area of Texas Road and Mill Ponds Way.

MARLBORO TOWNSHIP, NJ — A 52-year old Morganville woman died after she was hit by a car Sunday evening in Marlboro Twp., announced Monmouth County Prosecutor Chris Gramiccioni.

Dawn A. Sheldrick, 52, of Morganville, was walking in the area of Texas Road and Mill Ponds Way in Marlboro at approximately 7:32 p.m. this past Sunday evening, Oct. 28 when she was struck eastbound by a 2003 Toyota Camry, driven by an 18-year-old teen from Morganville.

The woman was pronounced deceased at 8:16 p.m. The crash remains under investigation by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office and Marlboro Police Department. No charges have yet been filed against the teenager driver.
