Motorcycle Accident In Marlboro Claims Life Of Piscataway Man: Police

A three-vehicle crash on a rural Marlboro road Saturday left a Piscataway motorcyclist dead and seriously injured his passenger.

MARLBORO, NJ — A collision involving a motorcycle and two SUVs on a rural road in Marlboro Saturday afternoon has left a the motorcyclist dead and his passenger hospitalized with serious injuries, the Monmouth County prosecutor's office said.

None of the drivers or passengers has been identified as yet.

The accident happened at about 3 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 13, in the area of Tennent Road and Peregrine Drive. Members of the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office and the Marlboro Township Police Department responded to a report of the accident, Monmouth County Prosecutor Lori Linskey said Monday.

At the scene were three vehicles involved in the collision: a Ford Explorer driven by a 46-year-old woman from Long Branch, a GMC Acadia driven by a 52-year-old man from Hillsborough, and a Harley-Davidson motorcycle driven by the 40-year-old man from Piscataway in middlesex County, authorities said.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger, a 32-year-old woman from Piscataway, was transported via medical helicopter to Jersey Shore Regional Medical Center in Neptune for treatment of serious injuries not believed to be life-threatening.

The drivers of the other two vehicles remained on the scene and were not seriously injured, the prosecutor's office said.
