NJ State Aid: See How Much Marlboro & Colts Neck Schools Will Get

Governor Sherrill's 2026-27 budget includes a record $12.4 billion in state aid. See what Marlboro and Colts Neck schools will receive.

MARLBORO-COLTS NECK, NJ — Governor Mikie Sherrill's proposed budget for 2026-27 includes a record $12.4 billion in aid to the state's 574 public school districts, including ones in Marlboro and Colts Neck.

On Thursday, the NJ Department of Education released its aid figures for each school district across the state.

Similar to the 2025-26 school year, most aid increases were capped at 6%, with the majority of aid cuts capped at 3%.

In Marlboro, the school district will see a rise in funding compared to the 2025-26 school year, with Marlboro Township Public Schools set to receive a total of $8,109,644 in state aid.

This is a $293,619 (or 4%) increase from the 2025-26 school year, when the district received $7,816,025 in aid from the state.

On the flip side, Colts Neck Township Schools are set to see a decrease in state aid, with the district set to receive a total of $3,267,635 for the 2026-27 school year.

This is a $186,349 (or 5%) decrease from the 2025-26 school year, when the district received $3,453,984 in aid from the state.
