UPDATED: No Delays Expected on Northeast Corridor Trains
Trains on northeast corridor are not expected to be delayed after tractor-trailer sustains heavy damage attempting to cross under bridge on Deans Lane in South Brunswick.
A tractor-trailer carrying water struck a train bridge in South Brunswick over a roadway, delaying trains traveling on the Amtrak northeast corridor, as there are concerns about the structural integrity of the bridge.
The incident occurred at about 12:15 p.m., when the truck driver was headed down Deans Lane from Route 1 and made it about three-fourths of the way under the bridge crossing, according to police.
Both Amtrak and New Jersey Transit said the accident is not expected to impact rail service through the rest of Friday.
