Obituary: Bryan Breen, 24, of Laurence Harbor
Breen died after a workplace shooting in Old Bridge on Aug. 31.

Bryan Matthew Breen, 24, of Laurence Harbor, Old Bridge Township, NJ, passed on Friday, Aug. 31.
Bryan was a 2006 graduate of Old Bridge High School. After graduation, he attended Middlesex County College where he had aspirations of becoming a teacher. He joined the Pathmark team in 2005 where he enjoyed working as a cashier with his colleagues and friends. In his spare time, Bryan was an avid reader and had a passion for writing. He enjoyed cooking, listening to music, and watching movies with his friends who will miss him dearly.
Bryan is predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Warren and Dorothy Breen and his maternal grandmother, Mary Ann Garland. Bryan is survived by his loving mother and father, Patricia and John Breen; His beloved grandparents, Robert and Joanne Garland of Edison, NJ; His dear aunts and uncles, Elizabeth and Robert Witt of Hazlet, NJ, James and Lisa Breen of South Amboy, NJ, Tara Garland of Highland Park, NJ, and Robert and Payal Garland of Metuchen, NJ; Bryan is also survived by his loving cousins and dear friends.

The family will receive their relatives and friends on Tuesday, Sept. 4 from 5-9 p.m. at Old Bridge Funeral Home, 2350 Highway 516, Old Bridge.
A funeral ceremony will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday at 10 a.m. with interment to follow in Chestnut Hill Cemetery.
