Clinton Mackey Sr., 88, of Morganville, passed away on Tuesday, April 10 at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel. Born in Colquitt, GA, he has resided in Morganville for most of his life. He was a pipe fitter for Local 472 in Newark and Marlboro and a truck driver in Marlboro before retiring.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Cindy Mackey; and two brothers, Hansel Walker and Charles Benton. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Catherine; his two sons, Clinton Jr. and John Andre; his four daughters, Marcia Marks, Vernell Leysath, Alisa Garrett and Mary Catherine Mackey; and his sister, Mae Frances Woodard; seven grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, April 13, from 9 a.m. until the funeral service at 10 a.m., at the Macedonia Freehold Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Freehold. Interment will follow at Shoreland Memorial Gardens, Hazlet. Arrangements are under the direction of the Freeman Funeral Home, Freehold.
