Obituary: Glenn G. Barney, 55 Formerly of Colts Neck
Barney lived in Colts Neck before moving to Red Bank 18 years ago.

Glenn G. Barney, 55, passed away at his home on Saturday, June 23. He was born in Glen Ridge and had previously lived in Roseland and Colts Neck before moving to Red Bank over 18 years ago.
He graduated from West Essex High School and attended Delaware Valley College, majoring in Animal Husbandry and worked as an Equine Dentist in Colts Neck for over 20 years.
Glenn was an "All-American Nice Guy" and presented himself as a simple man, who loved people, animals and all that life offered. He was always there for the other guy.
Glenn is predeceased by his father, Bob Barney. Surviving is his wife, Ellen Y. Barney; his son, John G. Barney; his mother, Ruth Barney of Toms River; his sister, Sharon Casey and her husband, Tom of Glen Ridge; his brother, Scott Barney of Roseland; his nephew and nieces, Andrew Barney and Maire and Kathleen Casey; and his Uncle and Aunt, Ed and Mona Barney and his Aunt Janice Ernst.
A Memorial Gathering will be taking place from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, July 13 at the John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Ave., Red Bank.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 14 at the Church of the Nativity in Fair Haven.
