Obituary: Harold J. Bowman, 84

Harold J. Bowman, 84, passed away in his home on Wednesday in Marlboro.

Harold J. Bowman, 84, of Marlboro Township, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 28 at home with his loving family.  Born in New York, he lived in Brooklyn before moving to Marlboro 21 years ago.  He was a proud U.S.  Army veteran who served as a cryptographic technician and was the recipient of a Victory Medal.  Harold worked in Manhattan for the NY Department of Sanitation  before retiring in 1978. He then worked for First Boston Corp. in NYC and, after retiring to Marlboro, was a courier for Marlboro Township.  He was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church, Freehold.

He is survived by this wife of 59 years, Julia; his son, Michael; his daughter and son-in-law, AnneMarie and Joseph Principe; brother, Robert; sister, Julia Noto; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Saturday, Oct. 1, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 pm. and on Sunday, Oct. 2, from 2 to 6 pm, at the , 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan.

 A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Monday, Oct. 3, at 8:30 am, at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold.  Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Woodside, NY.
