Obituary: Herbert A. Edler, 102 of Morganville

Herbert A. Edler, 102, of the Morganville section of Marlboro Township, died Monday, July 23 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Wallingford, Connecticut, he lived most of his life in Marlboro Township. Mr. Edler was employed by John Molte Concrete, Marlboro Township, retiring many years ago.

Surviving are his wife, Vera Emmons Edler; a daughter, Jean Edler, Morganville; two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Brenna Edler, Whitakers, North Carolina, and Michael and Deborah Edler, DuBois, Pennsylvania; three grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

Relatives and friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, July 26 at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center St., Freehold. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 27 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent.
