
John Molte, 91, died on Friday, Feb. 24 at Centra State medical center, Freehold. Born in Newark, he lived in Freehold before moving to Marlboro in 1962. John was a self employed Masonry Contractor before retiring in 2000. He served his country in the Navy in World War 2 and received the Distinguished Service Medal as well as a Bronze Star upon the European – African – Middle-Eastern campaign ribbon for service as a member of an Armed Guard Crew on the SS Elezaer Wheelock. Mr. Molte was a hard worker who loved his wife, children, and grandchildren dearly.
John was predeceased by his daughter, Mary Christine McIntosh in 2011. Surviving are his loving wife, Anne of 70 years; two sons, John and David; daughter, Frances Fassold; 10 grand children; and 11 great grand children.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday, February 27, 2012, from 2 to 4 p.m and 7 to 9 p.m., at the Freeman Funeral Home, 47 East Main Street, Freehold. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Tues. 10:00 a.m., at St. Gabriel’s Main Church, Marlboro. Internment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold.
