
John J. Nelson, 75, of Marlboro passed away on Monday, April 30 at his home in Marlboro, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Manhattan, John lived in the Marine Park section of Brooklyn for many years before moving to Colts Neck 22 years ago, and then eventually to Marlboro. Prior to retirement, he was a commodity broker, and owned his own firm - Ginel Trading in New York City. John was a dedicated family man, and a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather. Anyone who was able to know him loved and adored him. He was a very special man.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Peggy; by his daughters, Laura and her husband Joseph Pantaleo, Donna and her husband Kirk Paulsen, and Jennifer and her husband Brendan Cooney; by his seven grandchildren, Joseph, Kelsey, Kollin, Victoria, Kori, Jackson, and Carter, and by his 3 sisters, Catherine McCarthy, Nancy Monte, and Theresa LaMacchia.
Visitation will be at the , 26 - South Holmdel Road, Holmdel, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Leo the Great R.C. Church, 50 Hurleys Lane, Lincroft.
