Obituary: Peter M. Di Sciullo, 87
Peter Di Sciullo was an active member of St. May's Catholic Church of Colts Neck.

Peter M. Di Sciullo, 87, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Feb. 25. He was born in Cliffwood, NJ on Dec. 4, 1924. He was predeceased by his loving wife of over 60 years, Marion Kaney Di Sciullo; his parents, Joseph and Lucy; brothers, George, Dominick and Anthony, and a grandson, James Zachary Daly. In 1942, he moved to Keyport and, in 1950, moved to River Plaza, (Red Bank), NJ.
He is survived by his six children and their spouses, Alan and Mary Jo Di Sciullo, Jean and Greg Smiles, Mary Beth and George Carlino, Katie and Andy Clarke, Mark and Meghan Di Sciullo, Christine and James Daly; 17 grandchildren, Courtney, Megan, Patrick, Corinne, Kristin, Michael, Victoria, Austin, Samantha, Carissa, Zachary, Kelly, Christopher, Kelsey, Hayley, Casey, Mia and 1 great grandchild, Cate, all of whom he loved and adored very much. He is also survived by sisters, Faye, Rosemary Artelli, Ann Hegedus, Yola Flynn and Elsie Smith.
Pete was an active member of St Mary's Catholic Church of Colts Neck, NJ. He volunteered many years as a Eucharistic minister, a building and grounds member and as a member of the morning office. He also enjoyed his time as a member of the ROMEOs (Retired Old Men Eating Out.) He was employed by the department of defense at Fort Monmouth for over 37 years as a Logistics Engineer. After retirement from Fort Monmouth, he was a department manager for Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC). He was a member of two professional organizations, the Society of Logistics Engineers (SOLE) and the Armed Forces Society of Engineers Association (AFSEA). Pete enjoyed playing golf and was a member of the Suneagles Golf Club at Fort Monmouth. He was also an avid Yankee baseball fan. During World War II, he served in the Army's Ordinance Depot Company from early 1943 to the end of November 1945. He spent 18 months in the European Theater and was awarded several European Campaign medals. He was honorably discharged with the rank of Sergeant.
There will be two viewings. The first viewing will be held Thursday, March 1st at in Red Bank from 2-4 p.m. The family will then greet guests at a second viewing to be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Colts Neck Thursday Evening, March 1st from 7-9 p.m. A funeral mass will be held Friday, March 2 at 9 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial will take place at in Marlboro, NJ immediately following the mass.
In lieu of flowers, it is requested that donations be made to St Mary's Social Concerns at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Phalanx Road and Highway 34, Colts Neck, NJ 07722. John E. Day Funeral Home in Red Bank, NJ (732-747-0332) is handling funeral arrangements.
