Obituary: Rose Manzo, 94 of Morganville

Rose Manzo, 94, passed away peacefully Thursday, Oct. 6, 2011, surrounded by her family. She was born May 10, 1917 in Belleville. She graduated from Belleville Elementary School and Freehold High School. Her family moved to in Morganville in 1930. Rose and her husband, Michael operated Manzo Contracting Company in Old Bridge until 1993.

Rose was predeceased by her husband, Michael Manzo, in 1993; her daughter, Angela Manzo, in 2010; her sisters, Carmella Devino and Josephine Di Meo; and her brothers, Ralph Di Meo and Gerard Di Meo. Surviving are her daughter, Clare Passarella and her husband Roger Passarella; three grandchildren, Susan Passarella and her husband Kristoffer Lehman, Peter Passarellam and Christine Passarella; her great-granddaughter, Avery Rose Lehman; and her brother, Rocco Di Meo and his wife Katherine Di Meo.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, Oct. 10 at Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11 at St. Clements R.C. Church, 172 Freneau Ave. (Route 79), Matawan. Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Keyport. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Clements R.C. Church, 172 Freneau Ave., Matawan, NJ 07747.
