Overnight Milling/Paving On Rt. 79 This Week
The DOT will be milling/paving Rt. 79 beginning at Freehold boro, through Freehold Twp., Marlboro and into Matawan from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

MARLBORO TOWNSHIP, NJ — The state DOT began repairs to Rt. 79 through Marlboro Township Monday night, which will result in delays along Rt. 79 all this week long.
The DOT will be milling and paving the length of Rt. 79 beginning at Freehold Borough, through Freehold Township, Marlboro and into Matawan. The construction will take place overnight from 8:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. the next day. They will be working in stages and one lane will be open at all times using an alternating traffic pattern. Although Rt. 79 will not be closed, traffic delays should be expected.
The work is expected to continue through Friday, Sept. 15 however, all work is weather dependent and can be postponed or extended.
