Planning Board Approves St. Gabriel’s Church Additions
A new canopy and wider vestibules will be added to the church.
The St. Gabriel’s Roman Catholic Church received the green light from Marlboro Township Planning Board Wednesday to install a new canopy and extend two vestibules at the church.
The church plans to install a 15-foot-high canopy that will protect churchgoers from inclement weather and extend two vestibules to allow for larger entrances to accommodate visitors.
The application for these renovations was well accepted by the board with little debate and a quick approval after less than a half hour of presentation in front of the board.

Councilman Joshua Pollak asked if there would be lights in the vestibule and if they would be LED bulbs citing the energy saving and cost benefits of the bulbs. “We are a green community,” he added.
To which the architect replied “yes”.
