Marlboro Seniors Eligible For Priority COVID-19 Vaccination List
Those ages 65 and older or residents with disabilities are eligible to be placed on the list. Here's how to register:
MARLBORO, NJ - Marlboro Township residents ages 65 and older or with disabilities are now eligible to be placed on a priority vaccination list, according to a recent announcement from Marlboro Mayor Jon Hornik.
To be placed on the vaccination list, click the link here and complete the form. Upon submission, you will receive a confirmation email. Seniors will be contacted directly and scheduled for a vaccine appointment.
“We have been advised that individuals able to travel to the Meadowlands vaccination mega-site are more likely to receive appointments faster,” Marlboro Mayor Jon Hornik wrote in a statement. “However, all registrants are being prioritized and scheduled for appointments as soon as possible, even if you require a local appointment location.”

Marlboro Township is unable to confirm which vaccine will be available when a given appointment is scheduled.
Residents who are unable to access or fill out the form or do not have an email address may call the Marlboro Township Senior Office at (732) 617-0100 to provide information via phone.

“We are starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel, and it is our hope that helping our most vulnerable community members access vaccines will get us there sooner rather [than] later,” Hornik continued.
Monmouth County is also offering free transportation to vaccine sites for seniors ages 65 and older and residents 18 years and older with disabilities. Transportation is available during normal operating hours: Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. To view an updated list of COVID-19 vaccine sites in Monmouth County, click here.

The state recently expanded vaccine eligibility on March 29 and will further expand on April 5 to include the following categories:
- Individuals 55 and over
- Individuals ages 16 and up with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Educators, including support staff, in higher education settings
- Communications infrastructure support, including engineers, and technicians and members of the press
- Real estate, building, and home service workers, including construction workers, code officials, plumbers, electricians, HVAC technicians, property management and maintenance workers
- Retail financial institution workers, including bank tellers, lending services, public accounting and check-cashing workers
- Sanitation workers providing disinfection and janitorial services, city sanitation workers; residential, commercial, and industrial solid and hazardous waste removal workers
- Laundry service workers, including those working in laundromats, laundry services and dry cleaners

In other news around town, the COVID-19 mobile testing facility located in the Recreation Center parking lot is still in operation, with hours through the end of April as follows: Sundays 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Wednesdays 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Residents do not have to be symptomatic and results are emailed within 72 hours. There are no out-of-pocket costs associated with the test.
