Promotion, Hiring Of Police Officers In Marlboro
Officer David Gurski is promoted to sergeant; Class II Officer Matthew Gomolka, a former Police Explorer, is hired to the department.

MARLBORO, NJ— Patrolman David Gurski has been promoted to the rank of sergeant and Class II Officer Matthew Gomolka has been hired as the township's newest patrolman, according to a news release from the police department.
"We wish both men best of luck and are confident they will be successful serving the township in their new positions," the release said on behalf of Chief Peter Pezzullo and the department.
Gurski was hired by Marlboro in 2010 and is currently assigned to the Patrol Division. He is a field training officer, a firearms instructor and a member of the Emergency Response Team. He is also the current President of PBA Local 196.

Gomolka is a lifelong resident of Marlboro Township. He is a graduate of Marlboro High School and is currently working on his associate degree in Criminal Justice from Brookdale Community College in Middletown. He is a former Marlboro Police Explorer Chief and has been working as a Class II Officer in Marlboro since 2021.
