Route 79 Night Closures Planned In Marlboro
A construction project in Marlboro will require some nighttime road closures and detours in the area of Maple Tree Plaza and Old Mill Road.

MARLBORO, N.J.—There will be nighttime road closures on Route 79 from 8:30 p.m. until 6 a.m., Sundays through Thursdays for construction, the state Department of Transportation announced. The project is expected to require 25 days.
Construction and road closure began Thursday, June 23. The closures will then be in effect Sundays through Thursdays at night for 25 days.
No work will take place over the July 4 weekend, the police department said in a news release.

Planned detours include:
- The intersection of Route 79 and Ryan Road will be closed to through traffic. Vehicles will be directed to make a right onto Ryan Road to Robertsville Road; a left turn onto Robertsville Road and a left turn onto East Freehold Road, bringing drivers back out onto Route State 79.
- If traveling north on Route 79 the detour is reversed.
- Maple Tree Plaza will be coned off at all entrances and exits on Route 79 and vehicles are to use the Old Mill Road side entrance and exit, police said.
Detour signage is in place and police officers will be on site to assist motorists, police said.
