MARLBORO, NJ ― A school bus driver who was caught on video Tuesday morning driving 80 mph on Rt. 18 through Marlboro Township has been fired.

The woman was employed by Shamrock Stagecoach in Keansburg. At 8:05 a.m. Tuesday, a fellow driver, a man, recorded the school bus clocking 80 mph on Rt. 18 in Marlboro Township, between Rt. 79 and Rt. 537. The driver sent the video to NJ 101.5. Five children on the bus were seen standing and jumping up and down.

“I normally drive around 70 but I found him flying with kids jumping and standing inside the bus,” the man told New Jersey 101.5.

When an NJ.com reporter called Shamrock Wednesday morning, an employee told the reporter the bus driver had been "terminated" and then hung up the phone.

This is not the first time Shamrock Stagecoach school bus drivers have gotten in trouble: In October, a student recorded a Shamrock driver texting while driving in Old Bridge. That driver was suspended.
