Spring Into Fun at the Freehold Family YMCA!

YMCA of the Jersey Shore announces new programs for youth sports & enrichment!

The Freehold Family YMCA is thrilled to kick off Spring 1 (March 2 – April 26) with a vibrant lineup of programs designed to inspire growth, play, and connection for the whole family. Registration for members began February 9 and for non-members February 16 — so now’s the perfect time to get involved!

This season brings a mix of beloved favorites and exciting new experiences for kids of all ages. Families will find opportunities to build physical skills, explore creativity, and strengthen social development in a supportive and welcoming environment.

Among the new offerings this spring:

  • Ninja Warrior – Specialized warrior challenge activities to develop strength, agility, balance and confidence in a fun filled environment. Equipment used will include obstacle courses, rock wall, ropes, cargo net and more.
  • Blazepod Brain Boost – BlazePod uses Flash Reflex (FRX) Technology to boost reaction time, decision-making, and active thinking through light-based, movement-driven training. Backed by neuroscience and powered by fun, it connects mind and body for total coordination.
  • Teamwork Tots – Teamwork Tots is a playful class for preschoolers that builds social skills through games, music, movement, stories, and crafts. In a safe, supportive setting, children grow confidence, friendships, and a love of learning through play.
  • Flag Football – This class introduces the fundamentals of flag football through fun, inclusive drills and non-contact games that build skills, teamwork, and confidence. Students improve speed, coordination, and fitness while learning strategy—no experience needed, just a love for movement and fun!
  • The Social Lab – The Social Lab helps students navigate social media with confidence by focusing on safety, digital well-being, and responsible online presence. Through hands-on activities, students learn to create, communicate, and engage positively for growth and creativity.
  • Together We Move: Mommy & Me – Together We Move is a joyful parent-and child class using music, rhythm, and creative movement to support early learning and motor skills. Caregivers and children bond through playful activities that build coordination, confidence, and lasting memories.

In addition to these new programs, the YMCA continues to provide a robust mix of youth sports, enrichment classes, and family-friendly activities designed to help children learn, grow, and thrive. From volleyball, sports sampler, soccer and basketball, there’s something for every interest this spring at the Freehold Family YMCA.
