The YMCA of Greater Monmouth County (the Y) is welcoming the new year with an open house on January 20 to showcase an enhanced wellness center and a variety of programs that focus on strengthening people of all ages in spirit, mind and body.

The open house is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 20, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Freehold Family YMCA, located at 470 E. Freehold Road, and is free and open to all. Guests will be able to “try the Y and experience our supportive community,” said President and CEO Laurie Goganzer.

“Everyone is welcome to enjoy family activities, try our classes, see our recent facility enhancements, including equipment upgrades, and most importantly, learn about the many ways we nurture the potential of people of all ages, incomes and backgrounds,” Goganzer said.

The Y is offering a membership special for the new year at the open house. Anyone who joins during the open house will receive the month of February free, plus the joiner free will be waived.
