On Saturday November 4th, the scouting family of Troop 86 Marlboro rolled out of bed bright and early for a roadside cleanup along Topanemus Road, partnering with Monmouth County Clean Communities. They were amazed by the variety of things tossed and forgotten, half buried in the fallen leaves-- a laundry basket, an empty olive oil bottle, a leaking battery. Everybody agreed though that the memorable moment of the morning was the opportunity to lend a helping hand to the town police officer.
