Whole Foods Dedicates 5% of Opening Day Net Sales to Marlboro Community Garden
Mayor Jon Hornik and the Economic Development Committee invite all residents to attend the official grand opening and EDC ribbon cutting ceremony for Whole Foods Market located at 113 Route 9 South. The Ceremony will take place at 8:30am on Wednesday, May 21.
As part of Whole Foods Market’s commitment to its local communities, we are pleased and honored to announce that Whole Foods has dedicated 5% of opening day net sales to the Marlboro Shade Tree Committee in support of Marlboro’s first community garden which will be constructed on a 3.75 acre parcel preserved as open space on Tennent Road. In addition to the 5% opening day net profits, Whole Foods Market will continue to partner with Shade Tree and the community garden by acting as a resource throughout the community garden’s development and support family-friendly community collaborations such as classes both in the garden and the store. This community garden partnership will allow our residents to learn about composting, organic gardening, healthy eating and more. Please join us as we welcome the newest member of the Marlboro business community and celebrate this new partnership!
