2 Matawan-Area Businesses Make List of 'Best Places to Work in NJ'

Matawan, NJ - Not one, but two Matawan-based businesses made NJ Biz’s 2016 list of “Best Places to Work in New Jersey,” released Friday.

A technology company called iCIMS, which provides talent acquisition software, is located right off the Parkway, on Matawan Road.

And Quality 1st Basement Systems, which does basement waterproofing and is based in Cliffwood, also made the list.

What makes an employer one of the Best Places to Work in New Jersey? “One (thing) that all of these honorees have in common is a dedication to their employees’ professional growth and quality of life,” writes NJ Biz.

Employees at companies filled out surveys on their workplace well-being, NJ Biz said, along with an employer benefits and policies questionnaire. Each survey consisted of 78 statements that employees respond to on a five-point agreement scale. The survey also includes two open-ended questions and seven demographic questions.

Participating companies paid an assessment fee ranging from $690 to $1,770.
