“An Overview of the Vietnam War Years” will be presented by Al Savolaine, the Matawan Town Historian and the Commander of American Legion Post 176. The focus of the presentation will be what it was like for the veterans and their family members who were left behind when their loved ones went off to fight in distant parts of the world, to defend our way of life. This event, after 40 years, should be discussed openly by all Americans as we move forward together. It is history and not just a painful dream.
