10 Cars On Fire In South Amboy Early Monday

Firefighters arrived before 6 a.m. Monday to find 10 cars on fire, all parked in a municipal parking lot off Lower Main Street:

SOUTH AMBOY, NJ — A fire broke out in 10 cars parked in a municipal parking lot in South Amboy early Monday morning, according to the South Amboy Fire Department.

This occurred in the 5 a.m. hour in the municipal parking lot off Lower Main Street.

At least 10 cars were on fire when firefighters got there, South Amboy Fire Chief John Dragotta told News 12.

Most of the cars that were on fire belonged to medical transportation company Galaxy Ambulance.

"There is camera footage. They are going to be reviewing the footage with the police department right now with our arson team and our county fire marshal," Fire Chief Dragotta told the news station.
