Census fact time: As a result of population changes between 2000 and 2010, eight states gained seats in the House of Representatives and 10 states had fewer seats in the House of Representatives. Census results determine how many seats in Congress each state gets. The results are used to adjust or redraw electoral districts, based on where populations have increased or decreased. New Jersey was one of those states that lost a seat as well as an electoral vote. It is critical to get these numbers right, so let’s make sure everyone in Aberdeen counts!
