Aberdeen Backpack Giveaway Is Aug. 27
Community groups such as Mount Moriah Baptist Church, Quality 1st Basement Systems, PBA Local 163 and more contributed to the giveaway.
ABERDEEN, NJ — Many local community organizations and a local business donated yet again to Aberdeen Township's annual Backpack Giveaway BBQ. The BBQ will be Sunday, August 27 this year at Midland Park. It will begin at 1 p.m.
The backpacks are stuffed with school supplies and have been donated by many people in the community – individuals, Mount Moriah Baptist Church, volunteer fire departments and Aberdeen Township police and local PBA. It is coordinated by the Aberdeen Police Department, PBA Local 163, Quality 1st Basement Systems and the Mayor and Council.
There will be music, food and beverages on Aug. 27 at Midland Park.
